Project Description

The idea is to create a platform where developers can register as suppliers and service companies or individuals that need the development of a program or of any adaptation, register as buyers.
In this way, for example, a company that needs an adaptation of a word processor to perform certain tasks may publish an advise of their needs. Interested developers will contact the company for more information or to offer their services directly. The company and the developer will negotiate until an agreement is reached on the service, the rate and terms of delivery and payment ... For this negotiation, in every publication of demand or supply of service, there is a space for questions and answers ( about the service or product and may not contain personal information). There will be no personal information, because the page will be financed with a very small percentage of the operations and it is therefore important that operations be closed through the page.
All participants will have a personal page in which will appear some information like username, description, in the case of the developers, their knowledges and skills ...), also the list of operations that have been involved in, the comments that the user has received or done.

In all cases, the developments arising from the agreements of this page, must be placed under a free license. Will be given a number of options and GPLv3 if they do not agree at all. It is true that it is not possible to check that each operation in this condition, but we are confident that developers interested in free software will be the first to want to put these licenses. Moreover, as both parts sign the agreement with the page that contains this requirement will always be legally possible to require compliance.

The management system will based on Free Software , implementing a CRM based on FS (like openXpertya or SugarCRM) that runs on Linux.

Inspiration

Many companies and individuals would like to get more programs adapted to their needs. A billing program with certain characteristics, a text editor to include certain simplified features ... But do not have the sufficient technical capacity and the prices of many software consultants are too high for them to be adapted to the programs they find.

However, free software allows you to change this situation. Thanks to the free licenses is possible to access to many programs tailored to the needs of different users. But many companies, especially Small and Medium businesses are unaware or do not know what software can be adapted or developed, or do not know where to find developers interested in producing the software they need.

Therefore we believe it would be interesting to create a web platform that serves as a place of electronic commerce for programming services on free software

Who will enjoy this the most?

Developers who want to earn money with free software.
Small and medium enterprises and private users who need to adapt software to their needs but do not have the technical capacity to produce for themselves.

The Project

The site would have a reputation for each user. It will be based on a system of earned points based on specific operations or missing points is that user fails in the agreement. Each vote can be accompained with a comment. This systems seeks to create a system of quality and trust among the users to perform transactions with users who are rated better or do not have negative ratings.

The page logo is a seal playing with a ball representing the world. The grading system will also be based on baby seals of different colors. It will move, according to the score  between -10 and 10 seals vary the color red (-10) to green (10).

Each person can only register a single user with which both operate on the site to offer its new free software development or to offer services to purchase the programs, services, etc.. of other users. Anyone with a direct link to another (same as IP, cookies, same password holder's name, user name, etc) will be canceled the account in order to get that  the reputation system on the site be respected and that users take the commitment to realize the operations when they have acquired.

It is necessary to make clear that the page will be a meeting point between developers and buyers and will not be part of the transaction or the improvement of the operations.

The platform also would have a news section related to the Free Software and its benefits, in which could be included also the new developments and releases of the own users of the site

This project is still an outline. One idea we had and that is too ambitious for us at the moment but we hope to find people interested or investor interested in putting in place to facilitate the difussion of the free software, and to facilitate also that the software be adapted to the real needs of people.
